Gear Review: Livingston JerkMaster 121D

What is it?

Livingston Lures JerkMaster 121D

What does it do?

Deep-diving suspending jerkbait featuring Electronic Baitfish Sound (EBS)

What sets it apart?

Livingston set a new standard with their patented EBS emitting lures after Randy Howell won the 2014 Bassmaster Classic on Lake Guntersville. The same technology has been made available in a complete line of Livingston Lures, recently the JerkMaster 121, but now the same enticing darting action and weight and balance system is available in a deep-diving model that reaches depths of around 10 feet.

How do I use it?

The 121D is perfect for casting around offshore structure and even trolling applications. The sound is emitted automatically when it comes in contact with water. The lure is 4 3/4 inches long, weighs 3/4 ounce and is available in seven forage-matching colors.

How much?

$12.99

Editor insight:

The fish take every advantage that they can, so should you. Based on scientific evidence, there is noise emitted by schooling and fleeing baitfish, Livingston has implemented this unique technology into their baits, and it is surprisingly effective. Now you get the same technology in a deep-diving jerkbait that fits many applications.
