Editor insight:

In my experience, you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to binoculars, spotting scopes and even sunglasses. I’ve gone through piles of gas-station sunglasses that seldom fit—and if they did, the lenses were poor quality. As I’m aging, I find that I don’t like headaches as much as I used to. There are a lot of tremendous sunglasses out there today, but you will not be disappointed with a pair of Costas.
