The season's over, and going into that last tournament already knowing that I wasn't going to make the Classic changed my perspective.

The 2010 Bassmaster Elite Series is in the books. I didn't have a very good event in Oklahoma. Finishing 56th out of 93 isn't my idea of a good time. And I didn't qualify for the postseason. That's not where I want to be, either. Still, all is not lost. I'm a solid qualifier for the 2011 Bassmaster Classic. I'm proud of that.

Scent becomes a factor after a fish is determining whether or not to swallow what it has just caught. Finding and tracking down prey is left to the fish's other senses, namely sight and vibration/sound.

BASS unveiled the 2011 Bassmaster Elite Series regular season schedule Wednesday. The season will kick off near BASS headquarters with consecutive events in Florida and will end in Alabama, BASS' birthplace.
