The weather is a little closer to normal (cold) than it was last week. I should have known that it would turn cold as soon as I wrote something about warm weather and warm water.
I’ve been noticing lately that a lot of the guys seem to be worried about picking the right lure during the winter.
Some guys will fish for days looking for that one big bite that’ll put a replica of a 5 or 6 pound smallmouth above their mantel. If that’s you, get your rod and reels ready because now’s a pretty good time to go looking for one.
The fall feed is in full swing. We’ve been catching smallmouths like crazy the last week or so.
This week we’re going to look at another open water option besides a jigging spoon.
