The next event on the horizon is the Bassmaster Elite on the Delaware River. It matters to me. It matters a lot to me.
BASSfest went well. Because everyone got the same number of Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year points, we all were really fishing to win.
The Open on Douglas Lake was a tough experience for me. But I think I’m a better fisherman today than I was before it started.

Last week’s tournament on Dardanelle was a good one for me, although I’m not exactly sure why.
I spent last week in Texas at the Toyota Texas Bass Classic on Lake Fork. Things went a little better. Winning any tournament I’m fishing is always my goal, and I didn’t do that, but I did catch some fish and at least made a respectable showing.
My intention this week was to write all about the upcoming tournament and how I feel rejuvenated after a little time off. But Kevin and Kerry Short’s house being damaged has put a real damper on that.
Easter is a wild weekend around here, at least as wild as the Iaconelli household gets.
This was supposed to be an off week for us but it’s turned into one of the busiest I’ve (we’ve) had all year. Sometimes I think the easiest part of this is fishing tournaments.
