The math worked in my favor. I claimed the last Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year slot for next year’s Bassmaster Classic. That’s a lot of weight off my shoulders.

This is the week that matters
The Open on Cayuga Lake is over; that event got me pumped up for the final Elite Series tournament on Oneida Lake later this week. It’ll be a challenge because I have so much riding on the outcome, but hey, that’s what this business is all about.
Pack your boat for improved performance
After some on-the-water tests, I am rethinking how I pack my boat for bass fishing.
The dragonfly bite
I was out fishing with the girls on Sunday, and we had an interesting experience that I thought might help some of you guys this summer. Conditions were tough so we fished the dragonfly bite.
One more Elite event to go
The Ramada Championship on Oneida Lake is coming up, and I’m holding down slot number 31 in the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year points race. That’s too close for comfort as far as I’m concerned.
Busy, busy, busy
I had a mediocre finish on Lake Champlain last week and then a long drive home to fish a local tournament on the Cooper River with some of my old friends from the Top Rod Bassmasters.
