It is getting serious now. I have a lot to do before the season kicks off as it is only 1 1/2 weeks away.

The Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open kicked off today on Lake Lewisville, Texas. That lake brings back good memories for me because I fished my first collegiate tournament there.
Some fishing trips go smoothly, and others … not so much. For the past five days, I have tried to practice on the St. Johns River.
Tournament bass fishing is very humbling. Some tournaments go great and some go bad.
Florida fishing is way different than anywhere else in the country. The weather, water depth, and habitat all play big roles in how the fish behave down there.

I am starting to put together a game plan for each of the twelve bass fishing tournaments I have scheduled in my first year of fishing full time. And while I am excited about all of the events next year, a few really have me pumped up.
Now is the time to plan your 2012 fishing schedule, and the Federation Nation should be a top priority.
