NH BASS Nation on Lake Winnipesaukee

4:58 pm EDT, Jul 24, 2014

NH BASS Nation held its second team tournament of 2014 on July 13th at Lake Winnipesaukee. The anglers were greeted with another beautiful day of full sun and temperatures in the low 80’s. The STA-BIL Start Boat of Mike McNamara and Kelly Peake sent the 43 teams out on the water after making sure everyone’s safety equipment was functioning properly. Most fish were found to be locked into their summer patterns and the ones brought to the scales were caught mostly using drop shots, C-rigs, jigs and senkos.

The longtime team of Gary Croteau and Denise Allain were sitting atop the leaderboard by days end, making their long drive well worth the trip. This team is certainly no stranger to the leaderboard for NH BASS Nation events. They brought in a mixed bag limit of 8 fish for 23.31 pounds, including a beautiful 4.88 pound largemouth. However, the Dobyns Rods Lunker Largemouth award went to the team of Dennis Brophy and Bob Blanchette with a 4.93 pounder. The NUMA Sport Optics Lunker Smallmouth award went to the team of Scott Smith and Gerry Blanchette with a 3.69 pound fish.

The full results can be found on here.

The Lowrance Team of the Year competition is heating up faster than the water. Three teams are leading the way and within 2 points of each other with the team of Robert Silva and Garrett Seppala leading the way.  The complete standings can be found on here.

Each event we give out Redneck Remedy products to the angler who received the most sun exposure during the day.  Today, it was Dan Cross (above).
