The Day 1 leaders Trevor McKinney and Dailus Richardson from Benton, IL told me yesterday that they weren't running far and they were looking for fish closer to the launch. Well that's the truth as it only took us about 3 minutes to find them. After a couple minutes without a fish they started to put some in the boat. Once one would hook up with a keeper, the other would catch a non-keeper and vice versa. Both keepers were in the 2-3 pound range. They really don't need to worry about qualifying since they had a 14 pound advantage on the cut spot, but anytime you can try to maintain your lead is a good thing.
