Shaw Grigsby now has a limit, catching two fish on back-to-back casts. The second bass was 3.5 pounds, giving him around 15 pounds for the day.
Yesterday it took Shaw until 3 p.m. to catch a limit. Today he has filled his livewell by 9 a.m. ET.

Justin Lucas is just off the main lake, working a little ditch as it meanders through a wide spawning flat. David Walker is a few yards away, working on a bed fish. Lucas casts for thirty minutes or so with a few near misses then changes baits and gets a small keeper with the first cast.

We've started today with Shaw Grigsby. He's fishing in the Spring Creek area, in the same area he started yesterday. But yesterday the 90-minute fog delay caused him to get here late, and he didn't catch anything here. Today we've watched him catch three fish in 15 minutes for about 9 1/2 pounds. Two of them came on back-to-back casts. Shaw is laughing and talking with his Marshal. Clearly he's excited. But that said, he stayed in the same kind of good mood yesterday when he didn't do so well.
