The wind picked up with a little bit of vengeance

The wind has picked up with a little bit of vengeance. It's blowing straight up the Tennessee River, producing white caps and rollers.

For a moment it was raining, looking like the bottom could drop out. We took refuge in a boat house and of course the rain stopped but the wind hasn't.

It appears as if the field is pretty well mixed with anglers who have a decent start with those who are still struggling.

It was expected the current would be up and flowing by now, but it's not made its way to the downriver portion.

We did see Britt Myers boat a 5-pounder. He said that was his third fish. None of the others are close to the 5-pound mark. He's kind of the standard we've seen: A few fish in the boat with a decent one mixed in.
