Starks, Duckett on a roll in community hole

We've sat here watching the "biggest community hole on the lake" for about 30 minutes now, and that's been plenty long enough to understand why the boats are ganged up in here.

We've sat here watching the "biggest community hole on the lake" for about 30 minutes now, and that's been plenty long enough to understand why the boats are ganged up in here. Jeremy Starks landed a 3-pounder and followed it up with a 4 1/2-pounder.

Then the water exploded between Starks, Chris Lane and Boyd Duckett, followed by a collective, "Oh my gosh!" Duckett had it hooked and he carefully landed the fish – a solid 5-pounder. (We were expecting a bigger fish after that initial splash.) Duckett then followed it with a 4-pounder.

It's obvious that Starks, Duckett and Chris Lane are on the sweet spot. The fish-catching has only increased the friendly banter. They're joking about big worms now. You don't need to hear it; you've heard it all before.

Starks just landed another  one — a 3 1/2 pounder.
