Nineteen-year-old Skylar Hamilton was pretty disappointed to be fishing today at Nickajack Lake in this second-chance event, "was" being the key word. Hamilton is having a blast this morning. He had a limit weighing over 20 pounds by 8:05. It includes a giant.
"I've caught a few eights," Hamilton said. "I know what an eight-pounder looks like, and it's bigger than an eight."
Hamilton had over 20 pounds with four fish. He just put a 12-inch spot in the livewell, just so he could say he's caught a limit this week. In two days at Chickamauga, he weighed 3 totaling 6-7 on Day 1 and 4 weighing 13-6 on Day 2. His total of 19-13 left him in 84th place yesterday.
It looks like a lock that Hamilton will have another day to fish on Chickamauga.
"I'm glad I came down here and fished now," Hamilton said. "This is awesome."
