Due to all the rain in the area, we've got an unusual blog setup today. I'm sitting in David Hunter Jones' pickup truck, which is parked on a point looking out over Dallas Bay. I'm in Chester Forest Park, where Jones and Steve Bowman met their boat drivers for the day. Because this rain makes it hazardous to use an iPad and other electronic devices, Jones and Bowman are going to call me with what they're seeing on Lake Chickamauga.
And I'm looking right at a typical situation this week – five BASSfest competitors surrounding a hump in Dallas Bay, fishing their way around it.
Their are some of Chickamauga's infamous community holes a short boat ride from here. Stay tuned for reports from Jones and Bowman. I'm basically their typist for the day.
