Thinking back to Day 4 on the St. Lawrence in 2013, that top 12 was much more bunched up in one area.
That year Steve Bowman and I stayed in about a three-mile radius and were able to report on 6 or 7 guys. Of course the winner that year, Brandon Palaniuk, ran all the way to Lake Ontario.
But this year it's a completely different deal with the top 12 spread out in a 90-mile stretch, from the dam near Massena, all the way to the mouth of Lake Ontario. Makes it a little tougher to cover this year, but also more interesting because of the different techniques being employed.
