On Day 4 of the Kentucky Lake tournament in June, Steve Bowman and I were following Edwin Evers, just like today.
Evers had the lead, but some other Elites were gaining on him, namely Kevin VanDam. He needed one big fish to close the door. And he got it, a 9-pounder at about 1:30 in the afternoon.
Today is a very similar story. Evers is leading, but there’s a murderers’ row trying their hardest to top him. He’s telling us he’s now on some really big fish.
“I’ve got two giants following my bait,” he said. “I win if I catch those fish.”
