Kevin Ledoux was a confident man after weighing 17-9 yesterday, which put him in 7th place with 38-0 going into today. He thought he’d expanded on the area where he caught fish on Day 1. And that certainly appears to be the case today.
Ledoux is the first angler to catch a limit this morning. He’s got 5 weighing 13-12 according to BASSTrakk, which puts Ledoux in the lead.
“I’m fishing a giant flat in one of those huge bays,” he said yesterday. “When you get on the right set of rocks, it can happen in a hurry. One of those 3 1/2-pounders I caught today had a 6-pounder following it.”
