Evers culls up with largie

Down south we sometimes call smallmouth bass "smallies." Up here we've heard some locals refer to largemouth bass as "largies."

Well Edwin Evers just culled up with a 2 pound largie. That replaces the pound and a half smallie he caught early, gaining about a half pound in his livewell. Our panel of judges puts him at 15 to 15 and a half pounds total now. That said, we're a nine iron shot away from him.

Evers has moved out into the main channel, or at least off to the side of it, but is shallow enough to put his Power Poles down. He's fishing an old road bed.
