Edwin Evers made a move away from the dam, to a big inlet off the main channel. Soon after he hooked up with a 4-pound smallmouth. "Now that's what I'm talking about!" he yelled. "There's a lot more where that came from."
As we pulled into the area our driver Doug Kirkbride said, there's a lot of fish in here. He described it as a known community hole.
Moments after the catch, Seth Feider slowly passed by. The two anglers talked, and Feider moved on. By the look on his face I'm thinking Feider had hoped to fish the same area.
Evers now has three smallmouth for at least 7 pounds.
