A new Elite Series record, unofficially

We're not sure what the old record was, but B.A.S.S. media folks believe this to be the longest period for an entire field to go from takeoff without recording a fish catch.

Of course, there's a good reason for that. It's a 90-minute run from the 6:15 a.m. takeoff time down the Sacramento River to the prime bass-catching waters of The Delta.

We're coming up on an hour since the first flight took off, and there's not a single catch recorded on BASSTrakk. The two previous times the Elite Series came to The Delta, the tournaments were held in Stockton, where the long boat run wasn't required.
