Lane changed tactics this time

After his experience on the Sabine River in 2013, Chris Lane changed practice tactics when he came back this year.

"I ran around a lot here two years ago," Lane said Friday. "I fished Louisiana, I fished the Sabine, I fished Texas. This year I fished one spot. I put in at the same ramp every single day. I wanted to learn so much of this one area so that when I'm there I have some place to go. It's not like I need to run 50 miles."

Lane has apparently gone to one of those areas this morning. Because of the fog delays the past two mornings, he hasn't had an opportunity to check them out. He's caught fish two days in a row from one general area. But he's made a move this morning.

"When you're in a position to win, it's going to take a little bit of risk at some point," he said. "When it comes time to take that risk, you can just feel it."
