Expect leaderboard changes

BASSTrakk may not get the anglers' weights exactly – it's compiled from estimates – but it's usually pretty accurate on the rankings.

However, I would anticipate a vastly different leaderboard at the end of the weigh-in than what you're seeing on BASSTrakk. There are just too many contenders that aren't within cell phone coverage range. The international border of Canada and the U.S. also causes some communication problems.

Brett Hite is the prime example. We know he has at least 17 pounds. But there are several others.

And there were a lot of last-minute fish catches yesterday. Leader Brandon Palaniuk didn't catch his fifth fish until 2:55 yesterday, after he'd come back to Lake St. Clair. Charlie Hartley also had a key 4 1/2-pounder that came with only minutes to spare before check-in time.
