Burning gas, tracking anglers

These guys are spreading their wings more than they did yesterday.

For the most part, at least while we were here, they stayed on a 1/4-mile drift out on the main shipping channel.

In the last hour we've seen Casey Scanlon hit the bank for a few minutes, then run 3/4 of a mile into the lake. Meanwhile, Alton Jones was just a small spot on the horizon.

We caught up to him and he's running about 7 miles out into the lake.

Neither is catching anything. Although Jones joked with us when we pulled up on him that he had just caught a limit and we had missed it.

That's every blogger/photographer's nightmare. But these guys are spreading out so much it's hard to stay on all of them.

For the record, Jones hasn't caught anything. And we are burning more gas than yesterday.
