John Murray has run up north, past Edwin Evers. We passed Brandon Coulter as we made the 10 minute run. We find him among the tall grass. A stronger current here, pulling us back towards the main lake.
It pays off, too. We saw No. 5 get caught. Just like that, John Murray has a limit. John says that it's about a 2 pound smallie, the first one he's caught here.
"I just came up here to get a limit," he says.
