No bridges needed

I took all these shots of David Walker at the Highway 79 bridge, assuming it would be fruitful. I’ve seen Keith Combs and Ken Iyobe have success here the first two days, so I just assumed these pictures of a swimbait flying would accompany some great fish catches.

 

Instead, David Walker left the bridge for a shallow area towards the main lake, and upgraded twice, the most recent one quite substantial. You’ll have to wait for Steve Bowman’s gallery to see the 5-pounder he just boated.

 

Walker is having success, but not like the bridge dwellers. It’s all small moves and finding shallow spots offshore.
