Ike has a limit

Mike Iaconelli has a limit in the boat. His fifth keeper came when he moved back out to one of the islands in Seibold Creek. It weighed just under 3 pounds. That gives him something in the neighborhood of 15 pounds.

Ike has been relying on a Carolina rig mostly, with the occasional crankbait cast or two. A soft plastic stick worm appears to be on the business end of the rig.

James Overstreet and I are tucked back behind the island, where we just saw a non-tournament angler catch one that was every bit of 6 pounds. Iaconelli probably saw that too, as it was held up for a picture-taking session.

Overstreet claims he's never seen a tournament leader grind like Iaconelli has today, saying, "Usually, they're just culling through fish after fish. He's got three in the livewell that he definitely needs to get rid of. On this lake, typically they wouldn't have ever been in the livewell in the first place."
