Brett Hite caught a 5-pounder on his first cast yesterday morning, and he had most of his 22-pound bag by 9 a.m. He plans to sit on the spot that has produced so well in very little time spent there this week.
"I'm looking forward to really putting the throttle down on that spot," Hite said yesterday. "It could go real, real big there."
Hite said he has been "finesse fishing, with a spinning rod" most of the time this week, with the occasional big spoon or crankbait thrown in to give the bass a different look.
