This is a one-day, 74-man tournament

When this one-day Second Chance event was held for the first time at BASSfest last year, many of the anglers didn't know exactly how to feel about it. But at the end of the day, the opinion was generally "two thumbs up." It's the rare opportunity to compete for one day on a lake where hardly anyone has any experience or practice time, sort of like Ray Scott did with some early Bassmaster Classic formats when he flew the competitors to a secret destination.

And to clarify, this is a one-day event. Only the bass caught today will determine the top 10 anglers who will compete on Day 3 at Kentucky Lake. And only the fish caught at Kentucky Lake will count in the final BASSfest standings. Lake Barkley weights don't carryover to Kentucky Lake. Besides improving final Anger of the Year points, the added incentive is the top 10 today guarantee themselves a $10,000 payday.
