If I'm Edwin Evers I'm probably not real excited about 20-plus boats following me around. But that's part of leading a tournament, and part of being a well-known Elite angler. And when you think about it, these fans are paying his bills, and mine as well.
Evers is handling the extra attention like a pro. He's moving around quite a bit, fishing six different spots so far. Each time he moves he tells the fans where he's headed.
"Just going about a half mile north," was the last directive. That makes the movement of this armada a little more orderly. The fans are more likely to take their time and stay a respectful distance away when they know where he's headed.
