Anglers spread from north to south

The entire 80-plus miles of Kentucky Lake's length has BASSfest anglers on it this morning, from the dam to a considerable distance up the Tennessee River. When you narrow the search to today's early leaders, the same is true – a wide spread from north to south.

Brett Hite has been the hottest angler lately. He caught a 5-pounder at 8:45 that gives him about 21 1/2 pounds. Hite has landed 9 keepers. In terms of fish catches, Randall Tharp caught 14 fish by 9 a.m. His total weight is 16 1/4 pounds, which has him, unofficially, in 15th place. Britt Myers has caught 13 bass that have allowed him to cull up to just over 18 pounds. Marty Robinson is the other angler who already has double-digit fish-catches – 11 – for 19 pounds.
