All the guys in the background are Marshals for this event, waiting for their chosen angler to pass by.
Coming into the morning, some assumed that not all the Marshals would show on a cold day like today.
As a matter of fact, we don't expect all the anglers to show this morning.
The Marshals surprised some of us anyway. Looks like there could be more of them than anglers. It's still early, but you have to be pretty energetic to want to get out on the water in 20-something temps and no chance of making a cast.
These guys all deserve a medal.
