Skeet Reese learned a trick while steelhead trout fishing in California that came in handy yesterday: Use Vaseline petroleum jelly on your rod guides to keep the ice out.
"It actually worked really good (Friday)," Reese said. "I just couldn't slow down to re-lube my guides."
With the warmer temperatures today, Reese may not have to remind himself so frequently to slow down and re-lube.
