Faircloth’s big move

Todd Faircloth made a big move in the AOY standings yesterday. His 18.5 pound bag boosted him from 40th place to 33rd. That's one of the biggest moves of the day. Ish Monroe gained nine spots, moving from 50 to 41.

Faircloth, of Jasper, Texas, wasn’t even thinking about the Classic after missing the cut for five tournaments in a row. One of the most accomplished and consistent anglers on the Elite Series, only once since 2004 has Faircloth gone two B.A.S.S. tournaments in a row without earning a check. He was simply hoping to end the season on a good note in the final two events of the regular season. Then he finished 17that Chesapeake Bay and won at Lake St. Clair. Faircloth is suddenly on the verge of making his 14th Classic and 10th in a row. He finished 9th at Grand Lake in 2013.

We just spent little time with Faircloth. Zero fish in the live well so far on Friday
