Kevin VanDam just caught his sixth keeper of the day. It allowed him to cull up a bit, probably less than a pound. We think he’s got about 13 pounds.
A slight upgrade like that is probably insignificant in the long run today. As VanDam has noted, he needs a limit of 4-pounders. He’s got two near that size-class in his limit.
It’s a luxury to be, as VanDam said, “biding my time” until the sun gets higher, when you’ve got a 13-pound limit in the boat.
