Steve Bowman, boat driver Brian Hofmann and I put in at Walaka, several miles south of Palatka, and Jeremy Starks almost beat us to the spawning flat on the west side of Lake George where half of the Elite Series fleet fished yesterday.
"I was going 78 miles an hour," Starks said.
Now others are starting to filter in. Aaron Martens and Andy Montgomery are here now too. These guys will have about an extra hour to fish today, as there was no fog delay this morning. The sky is cloudless.
