Lucas notes the difference a day makes

Justin Lucas just trolled within a few feet of our boat, scanning thee water for spawning beds.

"It's a lot different today," said Lucas, who was 12th with 19-12 yesterday.

Although there's a slight northeast breeze today, which wasn't here yesterday, the main reason for the struggles today has to be simply the amount of fish that were caught here Thursday.

"That has a lot to do with it," said  Lucas.

There are 30-plus boats in here now, spread along the west shore of Lake George. It will be interesting to see how many are back tomorrow, when the field is cut to the top 50. That will be incentive for some, but not if the fish-catching here doesn't turn on more than what we've seen so far.
