Gotcha!

Mike Iaconelli had made nothing but good decisions today. This photo sequence illustrates his latest. Iaconelli hooked a bass in a gnarly mess of metal and wood near a retention pond drain pipe and immediately got hung up. The fish was still on, but he couldn't move it. He finally passed his rod under the big log laying across the drain, leaned as far over the log as possible, and patiently worked it out of the mess. He almost couldn't believe what he'd just done.

"When it's your time, it's your time," he  said.

This fish allowed him to cull up another 4 to 8 ounces.
