Skeet lands a 3 1/2 pounder

Skeet Reese is trying to make up for the ground he lost yesterday in the AOY race. After finishing 6th on the Delaware River, Reese came into this tournament third in the AOY standings, only 12 points behind leader Greg Hackney. After his 58th place total of 13-4 Thursday, Reese dropped back to 8th place, 66 points behind Hackney.

Reese feels like he blew his AOY title hopes yesterday. But he'd still like to finish in the top 5 in the AOY final standings. If he could catch four more like the 3 1/2-pounder he just put in the boat, Reese might just do that.

It was his second keeper. His first one was just barely that – a keeper, which gives him about 5 pounds so far. I am Reese's marshal today, and it's been interesting to watch a former AOY and Bassmaster Classic champion work.
