Palaniuk just got his fifth fish in the boat. His limit consists of three smallmouth and two largemouth, which as a group weigh just shy of 10 pounds. They're not the same size he's been catching, but the wind and weather may have something to do with that. "The wind is blowing differently today; it's changing things," he said. If Palaniuk's fish are feeling the effects of the wind, Zaldain and Faircloth's are, too. That seems to be the case, given that neither of them has amassed an impressive 20-pound stringer by now, something that the spot had given up each day several times over thus far. Or, maybe it's simply been beat too hard.
