Greg Hackney didn't add to his 3-bass total at his last stop, and he just made a 2-mile move further north. The wind is increasingly becoming a factor out here today, especially on the east bank of Cayuga Lake. It's blowing up white caps, coming hard from the southwest.
"It's absolutely the worst direction it could be for where he's fishing," said our boat driver, Ken Golub, who guides here. "It will mess up this bite."
But Hackney only needs two good bites over the next five hours, and he'll be right where he needs to be going into Sunday.
