Not much was happening with Dean Rojas, so we've made a short move up the lake to Mill Creek, where Randy Howell has been trying to put together something. He's cranking a rip rap bank right now and caught a 3-pounder right before we pulled up to him. He just told me he's about to leave this area.
"I'm really leaving this time," he said. "I've been saying that for two hours and then I keep catching them and can't leave."
This spot has been good to him today, but he says he's heading to his "big fish mud hole," a spot that yielded a 4- and 6-pounder yesterday afternoon. It's in Spring Creek and has off-colored water as a result of Thursday night's rainfall.
