Walker with 16 and change

We have been boating our way back west upriver when we come across David Walker just as he is landing a bass. He stops to do some culling as we draw closer.

"I've got about 16 1/2 pounds," he says. "It started out really slow this morning, but I've caught quite a few in the last hour or so."

Walker is drifting with the current while fishing a drop shot rig, the prevalent presentation here. He holds his spinning rod dead still.
