Farther downriver we find Pete Ponds fishing what Garlock says is the most famous smallmouth point on the river.
Pond's' white baitcasting rod is snapping the fire out of a jerkbait. It's nice to see someone fishing something other than a drop shot.
He tells us he has a limit that includes two bass that weigh over 4 pounds each. However, he also has two small bass that he needs to cull badly. After a few more casts, he cranks up and heads for new water.
