Just checked in with my good friend Tommy Sanders, who is at the Houston airport, about to hook up with compatriot Mark Zona. Sanders had Todd Faircloth as his pre-tournament favorite here, and seems to be right on the money, with the Texas pro sitting in the Top-10 after Day 1. "I'm desperately wanting to get there to talk to the "Dot.com" crew and figure what the situation is," Tommy phoned.
Yet another reason to show up early for the weigh in this weekend in Orange- Minn Kota will be giving away a Talon Shallow Water Anchor. If you are coming to the event, stop by their booth from Noon-3pm Saturday and Sunday and enter for a chance to win.

Nah, not really....though it wouldn't be hard to lose yourself on one the many miles of water the Elite pros are covering this week. "Cajun Baby" Cliff Crochet is somewhere, out there, and he'll leave you in waiting...for another day, at least.
"I'm fishing right up around the way," he said this morning. "It's just past the slough, near a cypress tree."
