Edwin Evers worked that flooded bush here on the Tallapoosa for about 20 minutes, and then decided to move into of the river to throw a spinnerbait toward a shallow area. The move paid off. He just snagged a 3-pounder and was able to cull up a pound or so.
That should have him around 14 pounds, but that's a very rough estimate. And again, keep in mind that every ounce is going to count, it appears.
Edwin's going to continue to work that shallow, sandy area a while longer.
