Ike there to lend a hand to DeFoe

If Nick Saban was on the side of the road with a flat tire, Les Miles would probably grin, wave then drive right by. That's no reflection on Miles' character, but a function of his competitive nature. No LSU fan would fault him for it, either.

Elite Series pros are no less competitive than SEC coaches and players, but the level of camaraderie is much higher in the Elites. Ott DeFoe caught a deeply hooked fish right in front of Mike Iaconelli, and after culling, DeFoe mentioned that it was bleeding.

Iaconelli then offered DeFoe peroxide, which is supposed to help stop a fish from bleeding.  These guys go at it day in and day out, but at the end of each day they still they respect each other and support each other.

You can bet that either of these guys would stop for the other. And Saban, for that matter.
