Powroznik is having some unbelievable bad luck today. After missing and losing a decent 3 to 4 pound fish a total of three times, he’s picked up and progressively moved further south.
Much of what he’s found doesn’t want to play. But he just hooked up with a solid 3-pound chunk.
It was on a long cast and after fighting it half way back to the boat, the fish jumped off.
He’s struggling trying to figure out why some of this is happening, even suggesting we might need to leave.
We told him we would. But he said he was just joking. Still, in the annals of superstitious anglers, it’s often wise to not tempt the bad-luck gremlin.
We are giving Powroznik 30 minutes to get things going. If he doesn’t we will leave and hope his luck turns around out of our sight.
