We’ve set up shop on Jesse Tacoronte on a sliver of an island. He had a dream day here yesterday sacking right at 28 pounds of bass and jumping from well into the 70s to the top 10.
He’s not sure he can repeat the feat today but we are going to be here with him if he does.
Currently he’s boated two keepers but neither are of the type that could jump start a 30-pound bag. But it’s still early.
Tacoronte said he could or should have had 40 pounds but he lost several giant fish. It’s understandable, he’s throwing a shallow topwater and it’s not easy keeping the hook in on those kind of fish.
His plan is to see if he can recapture the magic before heading south and getting in the middle of everything there. We are hoping for some early morning fireworks before that happens.
