Seeing triple Lane

Brothers Chris and Bobby Lane are fishing today and that’s good for both anglers in the Toyota Angler of the Year standings. Before this tournament Bobby and Chris were 40th and 41st, respectively, in the standings.

Not that sibling rivalry matters but there is a pretty cool scenario that is possible for the Lanes.

Last week, Arnie Lane qualified for bass club fishing’s premier event, the Academy Sports + Outdoors B.A.S.S. Nation Championship presented by Magellan Outdoors. He advanced to the event after being the top angler from Florida at a regional tournament held on Douglas Lake, Tennessee.

Only three days of competition separate Arnie from qualifying for the 2017 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by GoPro. Winning the championship isn’t necessary. All Arnie needs to do is be the top angler from the Eastern region of the B.A.S.S. Nation. Date and location of the championship will be announced soon.

Stay tuned. In bass fishing anything is possible and especially in the world of the Lane brothers.

How cool it would be to have all three Lane brothers in the same Classic.
