Optimal fishing conditions today?

Sitting near Honey Creek with photographer Steve Bowman and boat driver Daniel Standridge, we’re talking about the water temperature. It is 50.2 degrees here at takeoff time. Yesterday the water was 47.8 at the same time.  It didn’t get to 50 degrees until noon yesterday. That’s when the fishing improved for many anglers. So this morning at takeoff time it’s very similar to noon yesterday.  And by noon today the water will be warmer than it was at any time on Friday.  We’re thinking that means better fishing today. The water is clearer today than it was on Wed. when I was in this same area. There’s very little wind today, which may be a little less of a positive factor for the fishing. It’s gonna be fun to see how the day unfolds!
